Processing Work:

• Cutting & Shaping — diamond-impregnated wire saws or pulsed green lasers. Conventional dicing wheels will burn out. We don't use them.

• Polishing — colloidal silica on pitch laps for 0.5 nm RMS surface roughness. No subsurface damage detectable by etch pit analysis. For demanding IR applications, we offer superpolishing that pushes scatter below 10 ppm.
• Coating (optional but deadly effective) — electron-beam deposition of anti-reflection layers (MgF₂, SiO₂/Ta₂O₅), hydrophobic, or conductive ITO coatings. Bonded with a plasma-assisted interface that passes the 5-minute boil test.
• Quality Assurance — every window sees interferometric flatness, laser scatterometry, and a 24‑hour thermal shock cycle from 0°C to 250°C. If it survives, you get the certificate. If it doesn't, it never leaves the cleanroom.
